These terms of use are an agreement between you and Tadadaa Ltd., Finland ("Tadadaa", "we"), and apply to the Bow Quest app on every device and to the services connected to it. They were last updated on 1 October 2026. By creating an account or using Bow Quest, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use Bow Quest.
How we handle personal data is described in our privacy policy.
1. Children and Parents
Bow Quest is made for children who play the violin or viola, and their parents and teachers. If you are under 13, a parent must create the account for you with their own name and email address, and by doing so accepts these terms for you. If you are between 13 and 17, read these terms together with a parent. A parent who lets a child use Bow Quest is responsible for the child's use of it.
2. Your Account
Give correct information when you create your account, and keep your password to yourself. An account is for one person. You are responsible for what is done with your account. If you think someone else has used it, change your password and tell us.
Choose a nickname that is not offensive, misleading or someone else's name or trademark. Other players see you by your nickname.
3. Licence to Use Bow Quest
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Bow Quest on devices you own or control, for your own practice and, if you are a teacher, for teaching your students. You may not copy, sell, rent or distribute Bow Quest or its music, try to get its source code, or get around the limits of the subscriptions.
Bow Quest, its music arrangements, graphics, sounds and texts belong to Tadadaa or our licensors. Bow Quest includes open source software, which is listed in the app with its own licences.
4. Playing Together
You can connect with other players, such as your teacher or friends, and they see your nickname and the results of the pieces you play. Do not harass, bully or deceive other players, or use Bow Quest for anything unlawful. You can block a player at any time. You can report a player who behaves badly to info@tadadaa.com.
5. Prices and Subscriptions
Installing Bow Quest is free. We may offer optional subscriptions that unlock more of the game. The price, the length of the subscription period and what the subscription includes are shown before you buy.
Subscriptions are bought through the App Store, Google Play or, on Windows, Stripe, and the store's or Stripe's own terms also apply to the payment. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time in the settings of the App Store or Google Play, or, for a subscription bought with Stripe, from the subscription page of the app; the subscription then stays valid until the end of the period you have paid for. Refunds of App Store and Google Play purchases are handled by Apple and Google under their own rules.
Bow Quest is digital content that is delivered as soon as you buy a subscription. By buying, you agree to the immediate delivery, and you lose the 14-day right of withdrawal under EU consumer law once the subscription has started.
6. The Service
Bow Quest needs an internet connection to keep your progress, contacts and homework in sync. We develop Bow Quest all the time and may add, change or remove features. We try to keep the service running without breaks, but cannot promise that it is always available or free of errors.
7. Ending the Agreement
You can stop using Bow Quest and remove your account at any time in the app or on the website. We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms, after telling you why when that is possible. If we stop offering Bow Quest, we will tell you in advance and refund the unused part of a subscription you have paid us for directly.
8. Warranty and Liability
Bow Quest is a practice aid, not a replacement for a teacher. We provide it as it is, without warranties beyond those the law requires. We are not liable for indirect damage, such as lost data or time, unless we have caused it on purpose or by gross negligence. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under the law of your country.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may change these terms, for example when we add features or the law changes. We publish the new version on this page, and the app asks you to read and accept it before you continue playing. If you do not accept the new terms, you can remove your account.
10. Law and Disputes
These terms are governed by the law of Finland. If you are a consumer, you can also rely on the mandatory law of the country where you live. Please contact us first, so that we can try to solve the matter together. Consumers in Finland can also take a dispute to the Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi), and consumers elsewhere to the courts or dispute bodies of their own country.
11. Additional Terms for the App Store
If you got Bow Quest from Apple's App Store, these terms also apply:
- This agreement is between you and Tadadaa only, not Apple. Tadadaa, not Apple, is solely responsible for Bow Quest and its content.
- You may use Bow Quest on Apple devices that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the App Store Terms of Service, including Family Sharing.
- Tadadaa, not Apple, is solely responsible for providing maintenance and support for Bow Quest. Apple has no obligation to provide them.
- If Bow Quest fails to conform to a warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any, to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for Bow Quest. Any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses caused by a failure to conform to a warranty are the responsibility of Tadadaa.
- Tadadaa, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to Bow Quest or your use of it, including product liability claims, claims that Bow Quest fails to conform to any legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
- If a third party claims that Bow Quest or your use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, Tadadaa, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of the claim.
- You represent that you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You must also comply with the terms of any third-party services you use with Bow Quest.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms, and once you accept them, Apple has the right to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
